Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is a vital accounting team member and is responsible for performing various accounting and auditing duties. The Senior Accountant will work with a team of accountants and auditors to provide high-quality services to our clients. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for mentoring and training junior accountants.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fieldwork and document results in all audits, reviews, and compilations of the financial statements of privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations.
  • With minimal supervision, prepare tax returns for businesses, individuals, estates/trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Maintain and nurture strong working relationships with appropriate client personnel.
  • Work individually and as a team member on various engagements and keeps supervisor informed of job status.
  • Assumes responsibility for increasing skills, demonstrating strong organization skills, and having attention to detail.
  • Expand technical knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and formal learning channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
